The 15th annual Colorado Independent Publishers Association (CIPA) EVVY Book Awards Banquet was held Saturday March 28th. Tears of a Warrior won two awards. Tears of a Warrior won 1st Place EVVY Award (overall book design, writing, editing and production) in the Non-Fiction/Experiences category. Authors Tony and Janet Seahorn had a previously scheduled engagement and were not able to attend the event but they were both very honored to receive the award. Karen Saunders, owner of MacGraphics Services accepted on their behalf. Graphic designer Kerrie Lian won a 2nd Place Tech award for her compelling book cover design. Kerrie also designed the interior of the book.     Congratulations to Tony and Janet on the awards they’ve received for “Tears of a Warrior”!!! Bravo! Their 1st place award appropriately recognizes the power and courage of their book, and their personal story which they’ve shared with us all. It is fitting that this book is so recognized and well received by the Colorado Independent Publishers’ Association, and hopefully this will elevate into appropriate recognition at the national and international levels. This book is important, and it’s already helped soldiers and their families that we’ve known through “Walking A Walk” on CastleRockRadio.com … Again, congratulations and thanks to Janet and Tony!
